DMC Colour Variations threads are 100% cotton in 36 different colours and contain 6 multi-coloured strands in beautiful tones to create a soft shaded effect, the different shades appear from the first stitches. DMC threads are exceptionally smooth, they don't snag, fray, break or knot whilst you are working with them. The threads use highly resistant dyes so the colour won't fade and designs sewn over 20 years will still retain their orginal vibrancy.
